Brian Cyril Fricker

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Brian Cyril Fricker of Neil’s Harbour on Monday, November 27, 2017. Born June 19, 1970, he was the son of Joseph and the late Helen (Lillington) Fricker of Neil’s Harbour. Brian loved his dogs, golf, cooking shows, and spending time with his family and friends. He loved the visits from his longtime friends, reminiscing. Brian was employed with Syncrude as a mechanical engineer team lead until his illness progressed.
Brian is survived by his wife, Erin Malone, North Vancouver, BC; his father, Joseph; brother, Stephen (Cheryl); sisters, Bernadette Dixon and Sheila Fricker (Dana MacNeil), all from Neil’s Harbour. He is also survived by his nephews and nieces, Jared, Rhiana, Hailey, Teah and Brayden. He will be greatly missed by his family.
Thank you to the “girls” who helped care for him at home, especially Karen and Jennifer. Thank you also goes out to Victoria County Home Support, Continuing Care, Buchanan Memorial doctors and staff, staff of Highland Manor, and Palliative Care of Neil’s Harbour, especially Wanda Barron and Dr. Ritter.
There will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 1 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, with Rev. Carolyn Sharpe officiating. The burial will be in the church cemetery. There will be a gathering at Neil’s Harbour New Haven Fire Hall, following the service.
