Theresa Elizabeth Dupe

It is with sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Theresa Elizabeth Dupe, 69, on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in New Waterford, she was a daughter of the late Bobby and Mary Harte.
In earlier years, Theresa enjoyed dancing at the Heather, walking, cooking and baking. Most of all, she loved being surrounded by family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, William Dupe; daughters, Carrie (Fred) Jamieson, Glace Bay and Lisa Dupe, New Waterford; son, Bill Dupe (Carolee MacKenzie), Sydney; brothers, Tommy (Diane) Peckham, Dougie Peckham and Joey Peckham; sisters, Shirley Peckham and Betty Parsons; grandchildren, Kate, Adam, Ashley, Charles, and Emma; great-grandchildren, Denver and Caleb, and aunts, Agnes Peckham and Margie Harte.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Wally Peckham and Kevin Peckham, and sister, Marie Hogan.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith St., New Waterford. A funeral service for family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Father Ray Huntley officiating.
