It is with broken hearts that the family of James Patrick Turner, age 70 years, announce his passing on December 1, 2017 after a courageous five-year battle with cancer. Predeceased by parents Patrick and Mary Turner and brothers in law Michael Reddigan, Aiden Guiney and Cyril Hayden. Leaving to mourn his passing are his loving family; partner Maureen who never left Jim's side; his sisters, Kitty (Jack) and Betty (Pat) and brother Michael (Patsy), brothers-in-law Robert (Marie) and John, sisters-in-law Mary, Doreen (Adrien), Jeannie (Albert), Joan (Tommy) and Desales, seventeen nieces and nephews who loved him dearly and a large circle of friends and relatives. A special thanks to Jim's closest friends who helped him in so many ways, your kindness and generosity will never be forgotten; to the HSC nurses on 4NB and to Dr. Chitsike, Dr. Aziz and the nursing staff on 4NA for the kindness, compassion and respect they showed Jim and the family during such a difficult time. Visitation will be held at Fahey's funeral home on Sunday, December 3rd from 2-9 and Monday, December 4th from 2-9. Funeral mass will be held at St. Charles Borromeo church in Fermeuse at 11am on Tuesday December 5th, 2017. Jim lit up a room when he entered and enjoyed his life to the fullest even during his illness and he never lost his hope and faith. He will be forever loved and remembered by all who knew him.
