It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Edmund Lawrence Dewey of Deer Lake on Monday, December 11th 2017 in his family home at the age of 79. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Carole (Keith), Brenda (Andre), Richard (Penny); 7 grandchildren, Lee (Angela), Zachery, Samuel, Megan (Taton), Cory, Andrew (Penny), Logan; 1 great-grandchild, Rosalie. His siblings: Yvonne, Margaret (Fred) and John and special friend Gertie. Edmund was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Linda Joy Dewey; parents John (Jack) and Meta Dewey; Mother and Father-in-law, Muriel and Amador Chaulk; and sisters Myrtle and Jackie. Edmund also leaves numerous other loving family members and dear friends. The funeral service will be held Friday, December 15th, 2017 at 2:00 pm from The Salvation Army Citadel in Deer Lake with Majors Frederick and Louise Pond officiating, followed by the interment at the Salvation Army Cemetery Wights Road. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army Citadel, 20 Church Street, Deer Lake A8A 1E1.
