GALLANT, CLAUDE - Claude J.J. Gallant of Antigonish, NS, died Monday, May 2, 2011. Born in Saint John, NB, he was the son of Leo Gallant and Yvonne St. Coeur Gallant of Saint John, NB. He is survived by his wife, Janet Stark, Antigonish, his mother, sons Michel and Jacques of Montreal, a daughter Monique of Worcester, MA, and four sisters: Jeannita Mullin of Montreal, Rose Eva Butler, Rose Mary and Rina Gallant of Saint John. He was predeceased by his father and his sister Doris. A carpenter by profession, Claude suffered from depression most of his life which prevented him from reaching his full potential. In spite of this, he was the househusband for fifteen years, helping to raise three beautiful children. He deeply regretted any hurts he may have caused to his family, friends, or acquaintances.
