Graham T Douglas

Douglas, Graham T. – 38 of Timberlea. It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of Graham Douglas on Friday, April 29, 2011. Born in Halifax, 1973, to David and the late Barbara (Carsley) Douglas, he was the youngest of five children. His humour and his devotion to his family will be greatly missed, but remembered by his wife Luz (Vera Cruz), son Cameron, his daughter Leah, and his entire family. He is predeceased by his mother and survived by his father, step mother Ethel (Gould), step father Doug Francis, his brothers Geoff (Janeen), Dave (Sally), Rob, and sister Hope Gouthro (Roy). He will also be remembered with love and fondness by his nieces and nephew Emma, Matthew, Kayleigh, Gabrielle, Isabella, Olivia, Allie, and Mary Beth. A strong independent person, Graham lived in Banff, Alberta, for several years as a young man. He developed a keen interest in nature and enjoyed his passion for wildlife, taking the opportunity to embrace the outdoors with such simple pleasures such as following animal tracks and enjoying time with the new friends he had made. Also a hard worker, Graham moved to Toronto in 2002, to begin work for CIBC financial, and it was here where he met and married his wife Luz in 2004. After the birth of his daughter, his family returned to Nova Scotia in 2007, where he began work for Fidelity National Financial. A loving husband and doting father who truly enjoyed spending time with his family and dog ‘Bunny’, and someone whose stories and attitude made close friends, Graham will forever be missed. Visitation will be held at Cruikshanks Funeral Home (2666 Windsor Street, Halifax), on Wednesday, May 4th, 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The funeral will be held Thursday, May 5th at 1:00PM. Donations may be made to the World Wildlife Fund (www.worldwildlife.org ) or the S.P.C.A. To leave a condolence please visit www.mattatallfuneralhome.com
