Peacefully at Whisperwood Villa on Sunday, December 24th, 2017 of Minnie Clay (Downe) in her 97th year. Predeceased by her husband Sydney in 2011. Loving mother of David (Elizabeth), and Cameron (Ruth Ann). Nana to Jacqueline, Johnna, Jeremy, Chris, Scott and Cheryl, great-grandmother of 9 and great-great-grandmother of 1. Step-nana to David, Daniel and Andrew. Survived by her sister-in-law Jessie Downe and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Percy and Katie (Cameron) Downe, by her brothers Edward (Flo), Robert (Gladys) and Russell, as well as sisters, Florence (Hawley) Crockett, Catherine (Jack Herman and Ed Wood), Roma (Joe Dunning and Robert Slomer), Olive (Peter Hawkes and Bert Hencher) and daughter-in-law, Debbie Clay. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, December 29th, 2017 at 10 a.m. Interment in Sherwood Cemetery.
