Passed away suddenly at her home on Bell Island, Newfoundland at 72 years of age. Gladys was predeceased by her husband Peter Bickford and her parents George and Molly Winsor. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and sister-in-law. She will be remembered for her love of family, Christmas, cooking and laughter. She was always there to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed. We are grateful to all of the friends and family that supported her in the years following her husband’s passing. She passed away in the home that she loved, on the island that she loved and her presence will be greatly missed. Leaving to mourn is her daughter Tammy in Winnipeg, son Peter (Nancy) in Torbay, grandsons Jared and Hayden, brothers and sisters Dorothy, Pierce (Alice), Eileen (Steve), Francis (Robert), George (Catherine), Gary, Wallace (Sally), Sean (Allison), Maurice (Elaine), Sonia (Rene), Elizabeth, Marilyn (Albert), brother and sister-in-law Marie (Lloyd), Freeman (Elizabeth). A gathering at her home in Lance Cove, Bell Island will be held on Saturday, December 29th between 2-6 pm. A memorial service in her honour will be on July 21, 2018. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
