Gerald passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, on Monday, December 25, 2017 in his 82nd year.
Gerald was the beloved husband of Margaret; loving father of Melinda (Bruce), Gerry (Liela), Craig (Rena), Cindy, Lisa (Mike), Lindsey (Eric); loved grandfather of 16 and great grandfather of 7; dear brother to Mary, Shirley (Buddy), Winston (Barb), Sylvia (Purvis), Donna (Jim), Ed (Irene), Joan (Joey), Isabell (Rick), Mel; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, Alex and Melinda (Day); three infant brothers; one infant sister; his brother, Buddy; his grandson, Jordan; and his first wife, Rose.
Cremation has taken place and a service will be held in Bras d’Or, Cape Breton, NS in the summer.
