John M ‘Junior’ Bresowar

It is with broken hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of John ‘Junior’ Bresowar on Friday, December 29, 2017 at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in New Waterford on January 11, 1936, he was the son of the late John (Henis) and Katie (Deveaux) Bresowar.
Junior was a coal miner for 38 years, working in numbers 12, 16 and Lingan Collieries. An avid sportsman, he loved hunting, fishing, especially ice fishing on Lingan Bay. Over the years he enjoyed many happy times at his bungalow in Lake Ainslie fishing and hunting with his boys. Junior was also a fan of horse racing.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Liz (Lalo); sons, Michael (Valerie), Darren and Wayne (Elaine); grandsons, Chris, Joseph, Brandon and Logan; only granddaughter, Madison (Dhe Baby); brother, Melvin (Cathy); sister, Judy (Leonard) McLellan; numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by a brother, Wayne, in infancy; sister, Pauline, and daughter-in-law, Louise.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 12 -2 p.m. and a chapel service at 2 p.m. with Father Ray Huntley officiating, in McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, 902-862-7500. Interment in Mount Carmel Cemetery followed by a luncheon at the K.O.C., Plummer Ave. All are welcome.
