With heavy hearts the family of Barbara Ann Pennell announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at the age of 58 years. Barbara was predeceased July 3, 2017 by her husband of 41 years, Foster, the love of her life. She leaves to mourn: her daughter Amanda (Michael), mom’s baby and best friend; the pride and joy of her life were her two grandchildren Nicholas and Nicole; her sisters Marie Park, Geraldine Sheppard (Ronnie); her brothers Gerald (Edna), Scott (Rose); sister-in-law to Maxine Park, Ralph (Dossie), Freeman (Beatrice); her special caregivers Edna Park and Wanda Sheppard; also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Barbara was predeceased by her parents Ronald and Jessie Park; parents-in-law: George and Annie Pennell; brother Melvin Park; brothers-in-law Roland Pennell (Rebecca), Wilfred Pennell (Olive), Jack Pennell (Ruby); sisters-in-law Dorothy Sheppard (Reginald) and Hazel Pennell. At Barbara’s request cremation has taken place. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from St. James Anglican Church, Lark Harbour, from the hours of 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 2pm with Rev. David Taylor officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
