Passed peacefully away on Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Health Sciences Centre, Sandy Greeley, age 76 years. A member of the Royal St. John’s Regatta Hall of Fame as Coxswain and was involved in the Regatta for 64 years. Predeceased by his parents Lindsey and Elizabeth; sister Dolda Redmond; brother Cyril Greeley. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 57 years Barbara (Holwell); three sons: Cyril (Dianne), Kevin (Corena) and Robert (Angela); five daughters: Sandra Wiseman (Charlie), Donna White (Don), Brenda Neary (Russell), Gina Elens (Clayton), Tina Thomas (Dave); 22 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister Wilhelmina Noseworthy (George, deceased); special aunt Edith Churchill; special friends: Carmel Walsh, Patrisha Barron and Barry Myers; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Saturday, January 6 from 7-9 p.m., Sunday, January 7 from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m., and Monday, January 8 from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, January 9 at 2 p.m. from Memorial United Church, Portugal Cove.
