Maurice Michael
Maurice Michael Jordan, age 45 of Ferryland, NL. Passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018 at Mobile Big Pond. Predeceased by his dad, Ambrose Jordan Sr, mom, Pearl Jordan, brother Ambrose Jordan Jr., son Joshua Clancey, grandparents Arthur and Emma Jordan, James and Agnes Ryan and other members of the Jordan and Ryan families. Leaving to mourn with loving memories his friend, Lisa; children: Bradley, Brittany and Brianna; siblings: Cecelia (Lindsay); Ginny (Greg), Lorne (Laura), Donna (Todd), Bruce, Gerard (Lisa); nieces and nephews: Candace, Katie, Keith, Travis, Natasha, Cora, Blake, Morgan, Julia, Tyler, Tayler, Zachary, Matthew, Cierra, Desiree, Amberr and Abigail and one great-niece Sadie. A large circle of family and friends especially Marion and John Shannahan, John-John Shannahan, Wayne Clowe, Glue Clowe, Steven Clowe, his cousin Gerard Ryan and his favourite aunt Elizabeth Buckley. Maurice was an avid outdoorsman. He lived for hunting, fishing, trouting and his career and passion in carpentry. Maurice was a gentle soul who loved to torment everyone he was around but most importantly he loves helping others. From making the sad-happy, lending a helping hand to help build a neighbours fence, dig a stranger’s vehicle out of a ditch or even carry groceries to a car for the elderly. Maurice helped many friends hunt for their moose, during hunting season of course, he made sure no tags were left untagged. Maurice’s die-hard NHL team were the Montreal Canadiens despite all his sibling’s advice. He was the only one out of the 8 siblings that chose the Canadiens. A special thank you to the Avalon North Wolverines Search & Rescue, Universal Helicopters, Cougar Helicopters, RCMP Cpl. Danny Williams, RCMP Cpl. Jolene Garland, Salvation Army, VOCM news, CBC news, the Telegram, the cabin owner and the local snowmobiler who helped Blake to a successful recovery and activated the response team. Thank you to everyone who sent food to our home and for the tremendous support through phone calls, hugs, visits, and Facebook messages - the overwhelming support from family and friends, both near and far, is greatly appreciated and means more to us than words could ever say.
