We regret to announce the passing of David Kerr on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, at the age of 93.
Born on June 2, 1924, David was the son of the late Thomas and Violet (Paterson) Kerr.
David enjoyed a long and successful career at ATV, the Atlantic Television System (now known as CTV Atlantic). He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Sydney Mines.
David is survived by his daughter, Kerry Ann (Noel) Lewis, Dartmouth; his son, David, Ottawa; his grandchildren, Helen and Ian Lewis, Dartmouth; sisters-in-law, Drue (Chuck) Hall, Sydney Mines, Murdell (Brendan) Hall, Lunenburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, David was predeceased by his wife, Isabel (Hall) Kerr; his sisters, Sarah (Robert) Gillan, Helen (George) Tellum; his brothers, Alexander (Olive Lamond) Kerr, John (Jeanne MacLean) Kerr and his brothers-in-law, Charles (Chuck) Hall and Brendan Hall.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A private family committal service will be held at a later date. The interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Sydney Mines.
