It is with great sadness that the family of the late Frederick Freake announce his passing on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Long Term Care in Corner Brook at the age of 93 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Grace of 69 years; daughter: Linda Freake Fortin; son: Cordell (Sheila); grandchildren: Jonathan Fortin (Stephanie), Jennifer Fortin (Mike Charron), and their father Denis Fortin, Melissa McDonald (Colin), and Michael Freake (Laura), great-grandchildren: Zach and Theo Fortin, Lea Charron, Caleb and Kylie McDonald, Thomas and Noah Freake; sisters: Gwen Hinch, Bonnie Coffin (Richard), and Fanny Simms (Eric); brother: Wilby Freake (Laura); sisters-in-law: Pearl Eveleigh, Ivy Harnett, Rosemary Anthony, Wavey Penta, brother-in-law: Joseph Anthony (Ethel). He was predeceased by his parents John and Maude Freake; brother William Shallow Freake; sisters: Stella Decker, and Audrey Saunders; parents-in-law Andrew and Matilda Anthony; sisters in-law: Vilda Howell and Olive Sheppard Sced; brothers-in-law: William Decker, Cecil Saunders, Harry Eveleigh, Albert Howell, Douglas Sheppard, Allan Sced, Frank Harnett and Reginald Anthony. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Monday from the hours of 10:00 am – 12 noon and 2:00 -4:00 pm. Funeral Service will take place from Humber United Church in Pasadena on Tuesday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Andrew Wright officiating. Interment to follow at United Cemetery Pasadena. As expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Corner Brook Long Term Care.
