The death occurred peacefully at her home in Rustico, on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, of Arliss Doucette (nee Crossman), best friend and wife of Terry Doucette, aged 62. She was the loving mother of Melissa Doucette, Ryan Doucette (Malinda) and Becky Heino (Rob); and beloved Nana of Dale, Kelsey and Jorja Dickey; and Devan, Drew and Ellie Doucette. Arliss is also survived by her brother, Curtis Crossman; special uncles and aunts, Norman Pollock (Lorraine), Nick Crossman (Joan) and Alvin Sleep (Faye); father and mother-in-law, Aubrey “Spic” Doucette (Millie); brothers-in-law, Brian Doucette (Phyllis) and Robbie Doucette (Heather); sisters-in-law, Holly MacKinnon (Howard) and Paula Gallant (Dale); and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She will also be remembered by the extended Stevens family. Arliss was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Charlotte Crossman; stepfather, Fred Pickett; and brother-in-law, Shane Doucette. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538, Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 6 to 9 p.m. There will be a prayer service prior to the visitation at 5:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, Rustico, on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Augustine’s Cemetery.
