Peacefully with her family by her side at Whisperwood Villa on Thursday, January 18, 2018 of M. Rita Doyle of Charlottetown in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Fred Doyle. Dear mother of Carol Doyle and Mike (Leah). Loving Nanny of Sarah (Kim), Kate (Eric), and Matthew (Julie), and great grandmother of Annette. Rita is the last surviving member of her family having been predeceased by her parents Ernest and Adele (MacRae) Prunty, sisters Helen (Jack) Gallant, Phyllis (Robert) Matheson, brothers Thomas and Richard Prunty and sister Marion in infancy. She is also lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Monday morning, then transferred to St. Dunstan’s Basilica for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. If so desired memorial contributions may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation or St. Dunstan’s Basilica.
