The death occurred peacefully at the Kings County Memorial Hospital, Montague, on Saturday, January 20, 2018 of Mary Shea of Lake Verde, age 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Shea. Loving mother of Fred (Jeannie), Andy (Sharon), Dan (Shelly), Steve and Patricia (Russell Birt). Mary will be lovingly remembered by her beloved Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren; sisters - Marquerite Quilty and Rita Duffy and brother - Jack Duffy (Inez). She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Mary (nee Smith) Duffy; sons - Gerard and Eugene; Daughter-in-law - Laura Shea; brothers - Charlie, Jim and Joe Duffy; and sister - Susan McGuirk. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joachim's Church, Vernon River on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at St. Joachim's Cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation or St. Joachim's Cemetery would be appreciated.
