It is with great sadness that the family of the late Robert John Brake (Bob) announce his passing on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility in his 67th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 42 years, Peggy (nee George); sons: Cory (Crista) and Travis; grandchildren: Tyler, Kassidy and Landen; sisters: Pauline (Austin) Gillingham, Margaret (Martin) Kennedy and Maryanne Brake; brothers: Kevin Brake and Bruce Brake and a large circle of sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beautiful son Bobby Brake; brother Joseph Brake; sister Theresa Whitehorne; parents: Laura and Bruce Brake; parents-in-law: Charlie and Marion George and numerous sisters and brothers-in-law. Visitation will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The service will be held at Country Haven Chapel on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 10 a.m. with Father Andrew White officiating. As per Bob’s request, cremation has taken place with interment to follow at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations can be made in Bob’s name to the SPCA or the Alzheimer’s Society.
