With sadness and fond memories we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on January 20, 2018, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, NS with her family at her side.
Born Feb. 25, 1922 in Delianuova, Reggio Calabria, Italy. Lina was the daughter of the late Teresa and Antonio Casella, Italy. Lina, 95, is the last surviving member of her family.
Lina lived many years at 399 Atlantic St., Sydney before moving to Albert Bridge.
Lina loved her family, loved to cook and fed everyone who visited.
Surviving are her sons, Angelo (Raylene) Sydney, Dr. Anthony (Helen) Abbotsford, B.C. She is also survived by grandchildren, Shane, Holly, Kathryn and Anthony and great-grandchildren, Camden and Keegan; niece, Teresa Bancks (Jamie, David) Sydney; nephew, Tony Casella (Amanda, Tony) Halifax.
Lina was predeceased by her husband, Dominic (1998); great-granddaughter, Hope; brother, Tony Casella (Irma).
As per Lina’s wishes a private family service was held January 22, 2018.
