It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Colette Marie (Farrell) Morrison, age 67, loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the Victoria County Memorial Hospital in Baddeck, after a long battle with cancer.
Born in North Sydney on May 2, 1950, Colette was the daughter of Samuel and Anne Elizabeth Farrell. Colette was a faithful member of St. Michael’s Church in Baddeck and also the church organist for over 35 years. At one time she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Baddeck Fire Department.
She is survived by her husband, Gerard; her two sons, John Gerard (Nicole) Morrison, Moncton, Paul James (Julian) Morrison, Spryfield; her daughter, Anne Elizabeth Morrison, Esquimalt, BC; her two grandchildren, Taylor Marie and Chase Robert; her brother, Sam (Diane) Farrell, Kentville; her sister, Camilla (Michael) MacDonald, Halifax and her sister-in-law, Mary Belle Farrell, California.
Besides her parents, Samuel and Anne, she was predeceased by her brother, Martin Farrell and an infant sister, Sharon.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney.
