It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Alice Sheila Collier (nee Shears) announces her sudden passing at her residence in Cape Anguille, NL on Wednesday, January 24th, 2018 at the age of 53 years. Born in Port aux Basques, NL, Alice was the daughter of the late Edward and Florence Shears. She was also predeceased by her three infant sisters, niece Tracy Hillard, nephew Christopher Shears and several aunts and uncles. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her loving husband of 29 years James Collier, daughters Jody Lynn (Dwayne) Downey, Terri-Lee (Darrell) Fiander, godchild Jeremy Janes, and her grandchild Alyssa Downey all of Codroy, NL, brother Jim (Leona) Kendall of Port aux Basques, NL, sisters Jane (Reginald) Skinner of Main Brook, NL, Delores (Walter) Janes of Codroy, NL, Nora Musseau of Stephenville, NL, Linda (George) Janes and Kimberly (Benjamin) Hillard both of Codroy, NL, plus a large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In keeping with Alice's wishes a private family visitation took place with cremation followed with a memorial service and interment to take place at a later date. No flowers as per request and donations could be made to the family.
