It is with great sadness that the family of the late Winnie Cavell Simms announce her passing at the Palliative Care Unit, W.M.R.H on February 1, 2018 at the age of 79 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, children: Maxine (Dennis), Meadows, Max Jr. (Tricia), Corner Brook, Myra (Rex,) Musgrave Hr, her grandchildren: Ben Jr., Gerard Christopher, Emma, Luke, Ben and Ellie, great-grandchildren: Heidi, Presley, Noah, Dustin, Dylan, brothers: George and Jordan, sister Lorraine, brothers-in-law: Phillip, Donald (Amelia), sisters-in-law Mary (Fred) and Rose. She was predeceased by her husband Maxwell (2008), daughter Doreen, son Ben, parents Ben and Elsie Boone, parents-in-law Fred and Louisa Simms, grandsons Douglas and Michael, brother Ron, brothers-in-law: Fred Simms, John Simms, sisters-in-law: Beatrice Boone and Mary Brown. At Winnie’s request cremation has taken place. Visitation for family and friends will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral service will take place at The Salvation Army Temple, O’Connell Drive on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at 2.30 p.m. with Majors Cory and Pamela Pinksen officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the cuddle bed project, Palliative Care W.M.R.H. or a charity of one’s choice.
