Joan Wadden (Arnott)

Joan Wadden (Arnott)

Passed away very peacefully on February 2, 2018 after a short but courageous fight with cancer, at the age of 80. Predeceased by her parents Duncan and Adelaide Arnott, sisters Pat Furlong and Carol Wakeham. Always remembered and loved by her devoted husband of almost 60 years, John Wadden, her son Andrew (Amy), brothers-in-law Tom Furlong, Pat Wadden Sr. (Kay), sisters-in-law Joan Hann, Geraldine Primm and Helen LaHeist, and many extended family and friends. Special thanks to the compassionate and skilled staff, nurses, and doctors of Chancellor Park, as well as her treating physicians at the Health Science/Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre. She devoted her life to John and Andrew as a selfless wife and mother. She was overjoyed to have gained a daughter in Amy. She loved to sing. Whether it be performing at Fort Pepperell, singing with the Mary Queen of Peace Choir, or singing along with friends at a piano restaurant in Florida, she did so beautifully. Her voice and devotion will always be with us. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road on Sunday February 4, 2018 from 12-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 10 a.m. from Mary Queen of Peace Church. Inurnment to follow at Belvedere Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted, or a donation may be made in her memory to the Gathering Place.
