It is with great sadness that the family of the late Michael Benedict Delaney announce his passing at Lakeside Homes, Gander on Monday February 5, 2018 at the age of 97 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his sons: Ronald (Linda) of Casselman, ONT., Michael Jr. (Annie) of Gander, NL., Eugene (Shirley) of Glovertown, NL., Terrance (Madeline) of Gander, NL., Desmond (Bonnie) of Gander, NL.; daughter Ursula (Ronald Cashin) of Gander, NL.; son-in-law Donald Samson of Gander, sister Dorothy Ellis of Minnesota; 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Hazel; daughters: Carol, Yvonne; parents: Patrick and Theresa; sisters: Mary, Elizabeth; brothers: Patrick, Mark and Dominic. Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday February 8, 2018 from St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church at 2 p.m with burial to follow at All Saints Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations in Michael’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
