It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Susie Keeping (nee Parsons) announces her passing at the Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Monday, February 5th, 2018 at the age of 90 years. Born in Rose Blanche, NL. Susie was the daughter of the late John and Martha Parsons. She was also predeceased by her husband Hubert Keeping; brothers Clyde Parsons, Gordon Parsons, Ralph Parsons, Ronald Parsons and grandson Donnie Parsons. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her son Donald Parsons (Lorainne) of Shelburne, NS; brothers William (Ann) Parsons of Doyles, NL, John (Mable) Parsons and Austin Parsons (Ann) both of Rose Blanche, NL; sisters Annie May (George) Hayman of Codroy, NL and Melita Best of Rose Blanche, NL; grandchildren Martina (Hubert) Francis of Port aux Basques, NL, Glen Parsons of Shelburne, NS, Donna Parsons (Lloyd) and Valerie Parsons both of New Brunswick; great grandchildren Heather (Christopher) Stone of Paradise, NL, Nikita (Glendon) Hill and Garth Nash both of Shelburne, NS, Glenda (Adam) Mills of Halifax, NS, Nicholas Parsons of New Brunswick, Chelsea Peterson and Morgan Mackay of Alberta; great-great grandchildren Dylan Stone, Owen Stone both of Paradise, NL, Sean Hill, Glendon Hill, Brooklyn Symonds all of Shelburne, NS, Deklan Mills and Veronica Mills both of Halifax, NS; daughter-in-law Gloria (nee Bond) Parsons of Shelburne, NS; sisters-in-law Gloria (Farrell) Parsons of Halifax, NS, Sue Parsons of Glace Bay, NS, Ann Thibeau of Yarmouth, NS, Ruth (Ralph) Leriche, Gertie (Ross) Patey both of Port aux Basques, NL, Susie Billard of Paradise, NL, and Minnie (Charlie) Paddock of Yarmouth, NS plus many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 6th from 7-9 pm and continued on Wednesday, February 7th from 2-4 and 7-9pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc. The funeral service was held on Thursday, February 8th at 2 pm from the St. James Anglican Church in Port aux Basques, NL officiated by Rev. Marlene Harvey with internment followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road, NL. Flowers are graciously accepted and donations could be made to the family.
