Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, Mary Ann McHugh of Marysvale, age 88 years. Predeceased by her husband Cliff; parents: Margaret and Thomas Croke; brothers: James and Thomas (Philomena) Croke; sister Joan (Thomas) Simms; brothers-in-law Gerald McDonald and Raymond (Nora) McHugh; sisters-in-law: Regina (Lawrence) Ryan and Loretta McCue; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Edith and Ronald McHugh. Leaving to mourn her children Aiden (Marie), Virginia, Gerard, Marilyn, Connie (Darrell) Linthorne, Edward (Joanna), Patricia (Ward) Snow and Karen (Rodney) Penney; her precious grandchildren: Cliff, Blake, Jack and Maggie; brother Jack Croke; sister Sue McDonald; brothers-in-law: Frank and Stan McHugh; sisters-in-law: Sheila and Delores McHugh; nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.
Resting at Flaherty's Memorial Funeral Home, 70 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Harbour, with visitation on Thursday, February 8 from 10 am - 9 pm, and Friday, February 9 from 10 am - 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place from Our Lady Of The Snows Church, Marysvale, on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at 10:30 am. Interment to follow in St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Brigus.
