Passed away suddenly at the Health Science Center, St. John's, on Tuesday, February 6th, 2018 in his 71st year, Clarence Edwin Mercer,
Whitbourne. Predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Minnie Mercer, brother Melvin and his wife Fiona. Leaving to mourn with precious memories his loving and devoted wife of 46 years, Shelagh (nee O'Reilly); children, Kristi (Darren) Sooley, Shawn Mercer (Misha), Heather Mercer (Barney); brother, Wayne (Brenda); precious grandchildren, Nathan, Ella, Patrick, Heidi, Kenneth, Samuel, Ally and Taylor. As well as a large number of relatives and friends, and his devoted feline friend, Bully-Boy. Visitation will be held at Holloway's Funeral Home, Whitbourne, on Thursday, February 8th, 2018 from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm and Friday, February 9th, between 11:00 am - 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 10th, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Trinity United Church, Blaketown. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
