As time passes on, healing takes place
But our hurt is still, in our eyes and face
Five years ago, our hearts were broken
Truer words, have never been spoken
How we miss, her thin lipped smile
Her sound advice, which carried a mile
Always straight forward, her words were sound
Better advice, could never be found
Time marches on, oh how life does change
Without you in it, just feels so strange
We felt so empty but, there is a slow decrease
Knowing mom is with you, gives us that peace.
But how lucky were we, for all those years
Mostly filled with laughter, and yes a few tears
You are never forgotten, the good memories live on
They rush back daily, with each morning dawn
Always missed and loved,
Dad, Derrick, Vaughan, Sheldon, Blair and Glenn
