Born in Sydney Mines on April 18, 1947, Sarah was the daughter of the late Pius and Sadie (MacLean) Hennessey. She was a long-time member of Immaculate Conception Parish in Sydney Mines and more recently attended St. Joseph Church in North Sydney. She was also a member of the CNIB. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her eight brothers, Pius, Stanley, Patrick, Richard, Charles, Cecil, Tom and “Geezer” Hennessey and by four sisters, Christine, Bernadette, Lorraine, Theresa.
