Passed peacefully away on Bell Island, NL, Evelyn Josephine (Dyer) Bown, age 96. Predeceased by her parents William and Bridget (Hyde) Dyer, husband Charles, daughter Christine and son Charles Jr., brothers William, Gerald and Howard Dyer. Leaving to mourn are daughters Barbara White (John) and Rosemary O'Keefe (David), son Harry (Anne), sister-in-law Joan (O'Brien) Dyer, daughter-in-law Elizabeth Hochster-Hurst, grandchildren Christopher White (Krista), Jonathan White, Alison White, Michael White (Solene), Andrew Bown, Matthew Bown, Jennifer O'Keefe, John O'Keefe and Colin O'Keefe and two great-grandchildren Bella and Lucy White. Special thanks to neighbours Pearl and Ralph Dwyer, Dr. Alexa Laurie, Eileen Beeso, Lori Hann and the staff of the Dr. Walter Templeman Health Care Centre of Bell Island. Resting at Pendergast's Funeral Home, Bell Island. Visiting hours Sunday, February 18 and Monday, February 19 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass to take place on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at St. Michael's Church, Bell Island at 2 pm with interment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Bell Island. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
