Mildred Shirley Moss

1921-2018
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Mildred Shirley Moss, 96, of Amherst and formerly of Springhill, NS, at the Centennial Villa. Mildred was a daughter of the late Ernald and Daisy (Bowser) Anderson.
Mildred had been the deputy town clerk for Springhill for many years. She was a member of St. Andrew's-Wesley United Church, the UCW and a Past Noble Grand of Lady Minto Rebekah Lodge, #23, the Springhill Senior's Club and the All Saint's Hospital Auxiliary. She had been a cub leader in Springhill, an avid camper and curler.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Brenda (Gaetan) Ouellet, Miramichi, NB and a son Douglas Moss, Halifax; grandchildren, Cindy Mills, Jeffrey (Dana) Mills, Stephanie (Shawn) Devine, Jacquelin (Anthony) Morash; six great grandchildren, Matthew, Kyla, Janique, Nathan, Zachary, Xander; a special daughter-in-law, Debby; a half-sister, Hilda, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of sixty-one years, Lloyd George Moss; an infant grandson, Brian Douglas Mills; brothers, Donald and Charles and her step mother, Hazel.
Arrangements are under the care and supervision of A.H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill (902-597-2361) from where a time of visitation will be held on Thursday, February, 22, 2018 from 12 pm until the time of the funeral service at 2 pm. Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery in the Spring.
Donations in memory of Mildred may be made St. Andrew's-Wesley United Church, Springhill, Hospice Miramichi or a charity of the donor's choice.
