It is with great sorrow that the family of the late Anna Gertrude Quilty announce her peaceful passing on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Corner Brook Long Term Care in her 87th year. Leaving with fond memories and lasting love, her three children: Barbara (Philip) Turner of Corner Brook, Wayne (Deborah) of Kippens, NL, Jim of Beirut, Lebanon; four grandsons: Bryan, Kevin, Stephen, and Michael; sister Veronica McPherson of Antigonish, NS; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Anna was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Thomas (April 2015) and their infant son Bruce (1961); her parents: Joseph and Gertrude Hynes; brothers: Jack and Patrick; sisters: Mary, Elizabeth, and Dorothy. Visitation for family and friends will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Sunday, February 25, 2018 from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at the Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Cathedral on Monday, February 26, 2018 at 10 am with Father Edward Terry officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted and/or memorial donations can be made to the NL Alzheimer’s Society or the Most Holy Redeemer Church Fund.
