Passed peacefully away at the Glenbrook Lodge on Friday, February 23, 2018, Neta Phyllis Best, age 97 years. Leaving to mourn her loving husband of 71 years William (Bill); daughter Genevieve (Ken Lawrence); granddaughters: Stacey (Steve Chipun) and Shelley; step-granddaughters: Tracy (Fergus Murphy), Kerry and Stephanie; great-grandchildren: Annike, Nicolas, Matthew and Julia; sisters-in-law: Alice Hunt, Maggie Hunt, Joyce Best, Major Marcella Hopkins (Major William) and Irene Jacobs (Walter); brothers-in-law: Gladstone Best, Fred Best (Louise), Albert Best (Marguerite), Robert Best (Daphne) and Baxter Brown; many nieces, nephews and large circle of family and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue with visitations on Monday, February 26, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, February 27 from Barrett's Chapel at 11 am. Interment to follow at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
