Donald Manning  Enman

The death occurred at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, of Donald Manning Enman, of Summerside, aged 85 years. Born in Waltham, Massachusetts, Donald was the son of the late Arthur and Gladys (Rogerson) Enman. He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Beverly Enman, in 2016. Survived by children Brian (Patricia McManus), Halifax, NS; Barry (Piper), Grafton, Mass; Dawn (Roland Muenkel), Germany; Mark (Karen), Summerside; daughter-in-law Debra Horne; grandchildren Benjamin, Harrison (Chelsey), Charles, Alex, Audrey, Carly and Hayley Enman; brothers and sisters Faye (Bob) Bicknell (deceased), Gerry (Georgina) Enman, Wayne (Joan) Enman, Betty (Don) Roberts, Joyce Enman, Carol (Reg) White, Arthur Enman and Vance (Janice) Enman; brother and sister-in-law Bill (Penny) Cahill; and Kelly Cahill. Donald was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean War, and served aboard the USS Isherwood. He later worked as a mechanical engineer at Park Davis in Massachusetts, before relocating to P.E.I. in 1975 where he owned and operated Flame Industries and eventually served as the environmental services manager at Prince County Hospital until his retirement in 1995. Donald served as a longtime member of the Summerside Y’s Men’s Club. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks for the care and compassion shown by the staff of the Summerset Manor. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. No funeral service by personal request. Interment will take place in the Victoria West Peoples Cemetery, on Friday at 10 a.m. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of PEI or the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. www.moase.ca
