Madonna Hynes

Born: September 12th, 1955

Passed on: February 23rd, 2018

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Madonna Selina Hynes (nee O'Quinn) announces her sudden passing at her residence in Millville, NL on Friday, February 23rd, 2018 at the age of 62 years. Madonna loved her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother and sister but her proudest title was Gramma. She was happiest having her family and friends around making memories and having laughs. She enjoyed a good glass of wine or game of cards; being an O'Quinn she always played to win. She was fortunate to have many good friends who were always there for her especially over the last few years while she was struggling with her COPD. To those friends, the family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and for you to know that you too, were her family. Born in Millville, NL, Madonna was the daughter of the late William Joseph and Mary O'Quinn. She was also predeceased by her aunts and uncles Tom (Betty) O'Quinn, Betty (Bert) Breen, Pauline (Patrick) Gale, George (Genevieve) O'Quinn, Martin (Louise) O'Quinn, Hector (Vicki) O'Quinn, Theresa (Frank) McDermott, Austin Tobin, Ronald Gale, Jenny (John) Delaney, Lorraine (Leslie) Peddle, Maurice MacIssaac; and nephew Corey Gale. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her loving common law husband Ronald; daughter Amy (Pat) Buis of Fort McMurray, AB; son Wayne (Siobhan) Hynes of Lower Sackville, NS; four loving grandchildren Ryan, Brady, Ashlynn, and Paige. Madonna also leaves behind her brothers and sisters Manuel (Kate) O'Quinn of Oshawa, Ont, Eric (Debbie) O'Quinn of Kingston, Ont, Joan (Pius) Barnes of Oshawa, Ont, Joseph (Mabel) O'Quinn of Mount Pearl, NL, Ann (Don) St. Cyr of Kingston, Ont, Jean (Loyola) O'Quinn of Glenburnie, Ont, Rita (Wayne) Samms of Kingston, Ont; father-in-law Elmer (Genny) Gale of Millville, NL; mother-in-law Marie Gale of Mount Uniacke, NS; brothers and sisters-in-law Jim (Dawn) Gale of St. Andrew's, NB, Martha (Larry) Sterner of Oil City, PA, Dominic (Gaby) Gale of Millville, NL, Raymond (Jacinta) Gale of Calgary, AB, Joan (Bruce) Driver of Belleville, Ont, Gertie (Kent) Gale of Tantallon, NS, Doreen (Scott) Pindera of Fall River, NS, Mark Gale and Judy (Ken) Trudge both of Brampton, Ont; aunts and uncles John (Minnie) O'Quinn, Ron (Mary) O'Quinn, Al (Tilly) O'Quinn, Mary (Chiefee) Olaisen, Wilhelmina Tobin, Jim (Betty) O'Quinn, Billy (Ann Marie) Doucet, Ada (Pete) Withers, Martha MacIsaac, Walter (Bernadette) Doucet, and Doreen Gale plus a long list of nieces, nephews and cousins.
