It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late George Thomas Organ announces his passing at the Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Monday, February 26th, 2018 at the age of 89 years. George was the son of the late James and Elizabeth Organ. He was also predeceased by his wife Lenora; sons Freeman Organ and George Jr. Organ; daughter Libby Organ; niece Darlene Engel; sisters Lucy (William) Goosney, Helda Vouit, Julieann (William) Armstrong, Mary (Charles) Hulan, Ivy (Edwin) Moore, Charlotte Ingram, Francis Organ; bothers and sisters-in-law Lavinia (James) Meade, Bertha Skinner, and Violet Carter. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his son James (Stella) Organ; grandson James Organ (Clara Keeping); granddaughter Amanda Patey; great grandchildren Connor Patey, Natalie Patey, Steven Huard, Danielle Huard, Julia Organ, brother-in-law Hartley Skinner Sr.; special nephew but more like a bother Albert Ingram; special niece Clara (Lorenzo) Leamon all of Isle aux Morts, NL; special caregivers Gabe Dumas, Deanne Dicks plus a large circle nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 27th from 7-9 pm and Wednesday, February 28th, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Holy Spirit Anglican Church in Isle aux Morts, NL where the funeral service was held on Thursday, March 1st at 2 pm from the Holy Spirit Anglican Church in Isle aux Morts, NL officiated by Rev. Harold Harvey with internment followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road, NL. Flowers are graciously accepted and donations can be made to the family.
