We the family of Carol C. Stubbert regretfully announce her passing on Monday, Feb. 26, 2018.
Carol was the daughter of Michael and Violet (Buffett) Williams of Alder Point, Cape Breton.
She will be dearly missed by her loving husband and best friend of over 45 years, Louis; her daughter, Sasha; her son, Joel (Marilyn); and her wonderful grandson, Lucas, all of whom idolized her.
Carol is survived by her sisters, Sylvia (Fran, deceased) Jessome, Debbie (Bobby) Woods; and her brother, Brian (Jocilyn).
She was predeceased by her parents and brothers, Joey (Louise) Clifton (Nora) and Kevin. She was also predeceased by special family friend, Wilfred (Mary) McIssac.
Carol had a very deep respect for the medical profession. She had a special and deep respect for doctors: Ron MacCormick, John Ritter and for her family doctor, Eugene Ignacio. A special thanks to all the nurses and doctors working in palliative care, the Northside General and the nurses working for the VON. To Carol, your level of medical care is truly outstanding and blessed with an abundance of compassion.
Even though pain and other forms of suffering were (for many years) constant companions, she was not one to complain. Her response to any act of kindness was either a ‘no thank you’ or ‘yes please’.
Carol was a true inspiration to those who really knew her. She was also a wonderful and beautiful person who would rather give than receive. Even throughout her many working years she was an inspiration in that she firmly believed that any job worth doing was a job that had to be done right.
In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place. Also, there will be no service. If you wish to offer your sympathy to her family members, then it would be most appropriate if you could find the time to offer a prayer or an act of kindness to anyone of your choosing.
