Passed away at the Health Sciences Centre on March 1st, 2018, Ellen Mews (nee Lodge), age 97 years. Predeceased by husband Samuel, parents Mark and Sarah Lodge, siblings: Donald, Jack, Harold, Mabel, Margaret, Mildred, and Ruth. Leaving to mourn daughter Marion, son Keith, grandchildren: Mark Blackmore (Rosa) and Bryan Blackmore (Bobbie); great-grandchildren: Gabriella, Harrison, Jonathan, Nathan, Justice, and Brayden; brothers: Gilbert and Hayward; sisters-in-law: June and Daphne; friends Rosemary Green and Sue Pretty, and many other family and friends. A thank you to the staff of St. Patrick's Mercy Home, and to Rachel. Visitation at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave on Sunday, March 4th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Funeral service on Monday, March 5th, 2018 from the Salvation Army St. John's Temple, 101 Torbay Road, at 2:00 PM. Cremation to follow with interment at Birchy Bay at a later date.
