It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Jerome (Jerry) Robert Mugford announces his peaceful passing at the Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on March 5th, 2018 at the age of 76 years. Jerry was born in Codroy, NL and lived there for most of his entire life. For forty years Jerry has been living with Minnie and James Hilliard then he resided to Oceanside Care Home with Vicki Donaldson and extended Hilliard family, all of whom Jerry highly respected and considered to be his family. Jerry was the son of the late Minnie Moore (nee Kendall). He was also predeceased by his grandparents James and Leila Mugford; aunts; uncles and cousins. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his cousins Calvin (Irene) Carter, Alman (Mary) Carter, Viola (Al Seymour) and Clarissa (George) Gillis; cousin-in-law Elizabeth Carter and his home-care friends and staff at Oceanside Home. Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 6th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and continued on Wednesday, March 7th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Codroy, NL. The funeral service was held on Thursday, March 8th at 2 pm from the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Codroy, NL officiated by Rev. Harold Harvey with internment followed at Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Codroy, NL. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of one's choice.
