Marybelle Osmond

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Marybelle Osmond. Marybelle finally succumbed to her long-time struggle with heart and lung failure on Sunday, March 4, 2018, at the Hamilton General Hospital.
Born in Florence on August 17, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Naomi (Stubbert) MacIntyre. She was a member of Carman United Church, Sydney Mines.
She will be deeply missed by her children, Bernard (Elaine), William (Lynn) and Cindy (John) Poirier. Marybelle will also be missed by her beloved sister Judy (Gordon) Osmond; brother, Alex (Sandra) MacIntyre; sister, Lillian (Graham) Grant, and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband and war veteran, William Osmond.
Visitation for Marybelle Osmond will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in J.M. Jobes Funeral Home, Main St., Sydney Mines. A celebration of her life will take place Saturday at 11 a.m. in Carman United Church, Clyde Ave., Sydney Mines, with Rev. Nick Phillips officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Marybelle’s memory may be made the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 83, Florence.
