It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rowella Layden announces her passing on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. She was in her 85th year. Rowella was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She leaves to mourn her husband Granville and her children Joy (Gary), Paul (Karen), Keith (Elaine), and Sherri (David); eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; sister Verna; brothers Dorman (Ella), Don (Shirley), and John; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by parents John and Minnie Locke, brothers Ellis, Otto, Wallace, Maxwell, Clayton and Eric, and sister Myrtle. A private family service will be held, with interment at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army Corner Brook Temple.
