Anna Douglas Hill (nee MacLaren)

Anna passed away peacefully at home in Mississauga on Saturday, May 14, 2011.
Born in New Perth, Prince Edward Island, September 28, 1932. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Hill. Much loved mother of Ian (Heather) and Rob (Sandra) Campbell; cherished Nana of James (Monique), Jeffrey (Lauren), Andrew, Sarah (Jonathan) and Amber-Lee and great-grandmother of Graeme and Liam. Also survived by sister Doris Jenkins and brothers Donald, Edward and Stewart MacLaren. Predeceased by her parents Douglas and Florence (nee Macdonald) MacLaren and her stepmother Irma (nee Wood) MacLaren.
Boundless energy, generous spirit and loving ways allowed Anna to fill her days with family and friends. She loved to play music for the Order of the Eastern Star and her church communities. Anna was very active in the Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years; a Past Grand Matron with the Grand Chapter of Quebec and Past Matron of Lake St. Louis Chapter, Pointe-Claire, Quebec, and Grand Organist Emeritus with the Grand Chapter of Quebec.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter “Neweduk- Erin Mills” Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga, (just east of Erin Mills Pkwy) on Thursday May 19, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Friday May 20, 2011, at 3 p.m., preceded by an Eastern Star service at 2:30 p.m.
