HALFWAY RIVER / PARRSBORO – Ritta L. Quinn (Gilbert), age 94, of Halfway River, and formerly of Parrsboro passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at the Centennial Villa in Amherst.
Born in New Prospect, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Clara (MacAloney) Hiltz.
She is survived by her children, Howard and Joan Quinn; Frank and Nancy Quinn; Lynne and Glen Gallagher; Yvonne Quinn and David Bartlett; sisters, Agnes Skidmore; Blanche Fitzgerald; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harold Quinn in 1985; her second husband, Calvin Gilbert in 1996; sisters, Ruth, Frances; brothers, William, Claude, Hugh, Freeman and George; a beloved great-grandson, Ryan.
Visitation took place on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro, where funeral service followed at 2 p.m., Rev. Brock Shaver officiating. Burial in the Parrsboro United Cemetery.
