The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Saturday, March 24, 2018 of Michael J. Chaisson, Summerside and formerly of St. Edward, aged 66 years. Beloved common-law husband of Sheryl Williston. He was born in St. Edward on January 6, 1952, the son of the late Leo and Olive (Arsenault) Chaisson. Dear father to Ricky Chaisson (Erin), Summerside and Rachel Butler (Troy), St. Edward. Loving Grandfather to Tyson Chaisson, Martina and Brianna Butler, Tyra Perry and Leandra Jeffery. He is survived by sisters Theresa Gaudet, (Ray Smith), Miscouche, Eva MacLeod (Ross Smith), Charlottetown, Annie Schurman, Summerside and brother Leo Chaisson (Irma), St. Edward. He was predeceased by his parents Leo and Olive, son Troy, brothers Freddie, Mark and sister Joan. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road for visiting hours Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road with funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Memorial donations to the Miminegash Fire Department would be greatly appreciated. Interment will take place at a later date in the church cemetery.
