James John McDonald (Jim) died peacefully on March 25th, 2018 at Centennial Place in Millbrook, Ontario. He has gone home to his Lord and Saviour and to be reunited with the love of his life Joan, his son Glenn and many family and friends who have gone before him. Jim leaves behind his sisters Rose and Marie; his daughters Lynn and Theresa; his son-in-law Roger and daughter-in-law Linda; his five grandchildren James, Shannon, Elizabeth, Laura and Dennis. He will be missed by many extended family members and friends. Jim lived his life with a sense of humour, a love of fishing, pool and cards and a spirit of generosity to others. He strived to live as a witness to his saviour, Jesus Christ the Lord. “He will keep in perfect peace all those who trust in him, whose thoughts turn often to the Lord! Trust the Lord God always, for the Lord Jehovah is your everlasting strength.” Isaiah 26:3,4 A Funeral Service will be held at St. John’s Ida on Thursday March 29th, 2018 at 2:00 pm. with visitation one hour prior. Interment in the cemetery will take place immediately following the service and the family will be available back at the church during the reception. The family wishes to thank the entire staff of Centennial Place who compassionately cared for Jim throughout his daily struggles and during his “final roundup”. Gratitude goes out also to Dr. James Liston who provided care to Jim for many years, to Dr. Kamilla and to Dr. Robinson.
