Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, Dorcas Penney of Salmon Cove, age 94 years. Predeceased by husband: William T.; son-in-law: Peter White; parents: William and Elizabeth Rose; brothers: Harry, Melvin, and Garfield; sisters: Maggie Saunders and Muriel Sooley. Leaving to mourn, daughter: Leona White, Carbonear; two sons: Larry (Bride), Torbay and Ivan (Marian), Harbour Grace; four grandchildren: Peter (Michelle), Joanne, Larry Jr. (Carmen), and Elizabeth (Brian); seven great-grandchildren: Clinton, Cole, Sacha, Samuel, Jonathan, Harper, and Grace; two brothers: Cliff Rose and Fred Rose, both of Salmon Cove; sisters-in-law: Effie Rose, Viola Pottle, and Hazel Seward; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
