It is with great sadness that the family of the late Roberta Hiscock announce her passing on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 88 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories daughter Linda Buckle (Bazel) and her family: Lori Buckle-Stratton (Craig), Emilie Eddy (Roddy), Dyllan Napoleon, Cassadie and Cole Buckle Stratton; Lisa Lynch (Ray), Kristen and Jayda Lynch: daughter Verna Osbourne (Lew Ruth) and her family: Heather Locke (Shawn), Andrew and Shawna Locke, Anthony Locke (Melissa Burke), Charolet Locke, step-children Joshua and Rebecca Major; Pamela Organ (Brian), Bianca, Brianna, Matthew and Keith Organ; son George Hiscock (Levina) and his family: Gordon Hiscock (Angela), Jayden and Ava Vautour, Grayson Hiscock; Chris Hiscock (Sonya), Kailey and Georgina Hiscock; daughter Bonnie Hann (Danny) and her family: Tim Hann (Lisa), Nicholas and Daniel Hann; Amanda Hann (Dale), Arianna and Jaden Marche and Keegan Hann; sisters: Joan Hicks (Cyril), Loretta Gilroy and Maureen Maloney (Pat); brothers: Leonard Budgell (Ina) and Terry Budgell.; special friends: Jenny Foote, Hazel Maloney, Nikki Budgell and Fay Hoffe (Bruce); as well as the extended family, a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and the Hicks family. She was predeceased by her husband Gordon Hiscock; parents: John and Elizabeth (Jones) Budgell; parents-in-law: Robert and Doris Hiscock; brothers: Hubert, George and Bernard, Baby Budgell; sister Verna; sisters-in-law Marjorie Budgell and Ann Budgell; brothers-in-law Mood Dove and Bill Gilroy, son-in-law Keith Osbourne; long term companion Clar Hicks. We wish to thank all the nurses and doctors who took such good care of our Mother while she was in hospital, and the staff of Mountain View Retirement Center who cared for her while she resided there. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Thursday from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 13 at 2 p.m. from All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street with The Most Rev. Percy Coffin officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, donations may be made to All Saints Anglican Church or The Children’s Wish Foundation.
