Dwight Brian Clarke

Clarke, Dwight Brian, 66, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 22nd, 2018, at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, Regina, SK. Born in Truro, he was the son of the late Raymond and Ruth (Campbell) Clarke. He is survived by sister Linda McKay, brothers Wayne and Ivan Clarke, brother-in-law Robert Monk. Beloved uncle to Luke, Jason, Sarah and Emma; great uncle to Eva, Jacob, William and Jacob. Always remembered by several aunts, an uncle and many cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Sheryl Monk and brother-in-law Blaine McKay.
Dwight graduated from Dalhousie University and was employed with Environment Canada as a meteorologist until retirement. During his career he worked in various locations including Sable Island, CFB Greenwood, Winnipeg and Saskatoon. Following four years with Met Service New Zealand he relocated to Regina in 2002. In his early years he was a goaltender for Onslow in the Truro and District Hockey League as well as playing ball for local fast pitch teams before becoming a marathon runner in later years. He was a lifelong Leafs fan, a fan of Formula 1 racing and football. He enjoyed travelling, he visited every US state and Canadian province, often storm chasing in hail dented cars. He was a member of CMOS, volunteered as a tutor for many years and donated generously to various organizations. He will always be remembered for his kind smile and enjoyment of life.
Dwight’s family would like to express sincere appreciation to their cousin Janet Ayer for her loyal support during the past year. Thanks also to the staff at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre for their care and compassion.
No service by request. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Please remember Dwight in your random acts of kindness or as he expressed in his last moments to “Pay it Forward”.
