It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Marshall Devoe announce his peaceful passing after a seven year illness at the Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL surrounded by family and friends on April 7th, 2018 at the age of 83 years. Born in Loch Lomond, Codroy Valley, NL, Marshall was the son of the late Martin and Genevieve Devoe (nee MacIssac). He was predeceased by father and mother-in-law Dennis and Beatrice Muise; brother Francis Devoe; nephews Gary Francis Devoe, Gary Eric Devoe, Kirk James Devoe, Vince Devoe, Donnie Tripplett; niece Jeanette Parsons; granddaughter Robyn Paradis; sister-in-law Ella (Charlie) MacNeil; brothers-in-law John McKinney, James Muise, Kenneth Muise, Jerome Muise, Dennis (Rita) Muise and Wayne Muise. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his loving wife Patricia Devoe (nee Muise) of 58 years; children Cathy (Donald) Gale of Great Codroy, NL, Wanda (Jeff) Robinson of Elliot Lake Ont, Marsha (Bruce) Park of Lower Sackville, NS, Donald (Deanna) Devoe of Milton, Ont, Darlene (Stephen) Steele of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, Bernadine (Jack) Petrie of Lower Sackville, NS, Dion (Claudelle) Devoe of Great Codroy, NL; sisters Margaret (John) Tripplett of Spokane, Washington, DC, USA, Germaine McKinney of Cambridge Ont, Marilyn (John) Hayes of Kitchener, Ont, Carol (Kevin) MacNeil of Guelph, Ont, Martina (Blake) Jacklin of Milton, Ont, Lillian (George) Battiste of Upper Ferry, NL; brothers Ted (Pauline) Devoe of Clifford, Ont, Redmond Devoe of Mississauga, Ont, Walter (Diane) Devoe of Irishtown NL; sisters-in-law Joan Devoe of Halifax, NS, Carol O'Quinn, Lillian Muise both of South Branch, NL, Betty Muise of Lower Sackville, NS, and Terri Luedee of St. Andrew's, NL. He also leaves behind thirteen (13) grandchildren, six (6) great-grandchildren, and his beloved dog Coco plus a large circle of family and friends. Marshall enjoyed the outdoors, his horses and his dogs. He loved tinkering with trucks and tractors along with his 1956 Willys Jeep. He loved a good game of cards, a good party and accordion music. In keeping with Marshall's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 11th from 7-9 pm at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church in Upper Ferry, NL. The Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, April 12th at 11 am officiated by Father Lee Lainey with interment followed at Mount St. Thomas Roman Catholic Cemetery. Flowers are graciously accepted.
